Apache Pass Restaurant will be very unique. Not only is it near the Apache Pass crossing on the San Gabriel River, it also is built along side an American Indian campsite. The site was discovered when construction began and extreme care was given to the site to preserve all we could. This site is one of the largest known Indian camps in the area. It is situated on a rise over the river basin and just above Dreamcatcher Lake. The immediate and surrounding area is drenched in meaningful history. When we began excavation of Dreamcatcher Lake, we discovered what appeared to be an old hearth and a pile of mussel shells where someone might have prepared and partaken of a meal. The interesting thing about this was that it was located 5 to 6 feet underground. The restaurant will feature a Southwestern Native American Indian motif. It will be decorated with local artifacts, totem poles, war bonnets and will have a tipi inside for a unique dining experience for the young at heart. The wait staff’s attire will be Native American Indian style. There is a lot to see here but our main and most important goal is to serve our patrons the tastiest meal and enjoyable dining experience they have ever encountered!! Updated photos coming soon.
